Caravan Camping & Motorhome Show to return in February

The Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show is set to take place at the NEC in Birmingham on 22nd to 27th February 2022.

Five halls will host more than 350 exhibitor stands, showcasing the latest campervans, motorhomes, touring caravans, tents, trailer tents, folding campers, holiday homes and lodges.

Tickets are limited and available to buy online now priced at £10.

The growth of the market will be reflected at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show with over 50% more campervan models on display from the country’s leading manufacturers.

Impartial advice from experts for existing owners and those interested in buying into the touring lifestyle will be on offer along with talks and presentations from organisations and enthusiasts across outdoor leisure to inspire visitors about places to go and activities to enjoy while on their touring adventures.

Free caravan towing courses, motorhome manoeuvring lessons and campervan test drives provided by member organisations, the Camping & Caravanning Club and the Caravan & Motorhome Club, will also be available.

NCC Events chairman, Anthony Trevelyan said: “We can’t wait to welcome those who love the freedom and adventure of caravan, camping, motorhome and holiday park holidays, back to the NEC in February and extend a particularly warm welcome to those new to the touring lifestyle joining us for the first time.

“Nothing beats live events and we’re excited to offer visitors the opportunity to get inside and compare the different layouts, fittings and innovations from the best in the industry so that they can make an informed buying decision. The show will also be jam-packed with insight, talks and training for beginners and experienced leisure vehicle owners alike.”

The announcement came with news that sister event, the Motorhome & Caravan Show, has been cancelled because of a lack of clarity over the rules for large organised indoor events.

In a statement, NCC Events said: “With only 14 weeks to go until the show, which is one of the largest public events in the country, rules on large, organised indoor events continue to be unclear.

“We have taken feedback from our exhibitors and while the industry is seeing a huge demand for touring caravans, campervans and motorhomes from the UK staycation boom, there are many challenges in the supply chain which make the timing of this year’s show, and the additional demand it would generate, untenable for some.

“We have also consulted with our visitors and although there is a huge appetite for the show, we must put their wellbeing and safety first.

“For those who have been shielding, a February timeline will also allow them to build their confidence in attending indoor events.”

For those people who had already purchased a ticket for the now cancelled Motorhome & Caravan Show can transfer it to the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show in February, to next October’s Motorhome & Caravan Show show or get a refund.
