The results of the twenty-fourth Caravan and Motorhome Club Motorhome and Campervan Design Awards have been revealed at the NEC’s Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show this week.

Judging took place during the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC in February and via desktop assessment prior to viewing the vehicles.

Sixty-four vehicles were submitted for the Motorhome and Campervan Design Awards.

The vehicles went through a rigorous desk based evaluation prior to the judges going to the show to view the motorhomes and campervans.

The expert panel collectively spent over one thousand hours going through an immense amount of data from websites, brochures, handbooks and entry forms to complete in-depth evaluations via desktop.

The panel of experts included Dan Cartwright, Justine Higgins, Martin Dorey MBE, Sammy Faircloth, Mel Philpott, Martin Spencer and Nick Harding.

The entries were thoroughly assessed against an extensive criteria including security, electrics, bed sizes, solar panels, kitchen, washrooms, heating, leisure batteries, technical aspects, USB sockets and entertainment.

The vehicles were also evaluated regarding mechanical specifications, ISOfix points, number of seat belts provided, ease of parking assist technology and driver’s aids.

At the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC, the judges then viewed the vehicles to complete this comprehensive judging process.

Nick Lomas, director general of the Caravan and Motorhome Club said: “The Club extends its sincere congratulations to all the winners.

“Our thanks go to our industry colleagues for their continued support of these awards which provide an invaluable source of information and inspiration for people looking to either start this leisure pursuit or change their vehicle.”
