Van Life Matters is an independent digital news publication. We curate news, analyse it and provide context specifically for the benefit of campervan, motorhome and caravan owners.
Van Life Matters has quickly grown to become the go-to place for all the very latest UK Van Life news, tips and advice. We’re keeping those that live in their van, full time or part time, informed with everything that’s happening in the UK’s Van Life scene and forever inspired for that next adventure.

Mike Ruff, Van Life Matters editor
Van Life Matters is the brainchild of journalist, Mike Ruff. Having bought his first campervan in 2020 (a 1970 Volkswagen T2 Westfalia), he and his now wife Evee Ruff hit Google with the usual newbie questions. The results presented fragmented and often unsubstantiated information and claims, served through a myriad of portals, feeds and social media groups.
“It seemed to us, that there was a definite lack of facts online when it comes to news and information concerning campervan, motorhome and caravan ownership. We’re cutting through the noise with a journalistic focus on the needs and wants of UK Van Lifers, and we’re doing it a little differently.”

Providing the loving support and patience needed to help get the Van Life Matters brand off the ground, Mike’s wife now helps to inform and inspire UK van lifers by sharing Van Life Matters news on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Threads and YouTube.
Evee is also the brains behind the Van Life Matters sticker collection, professionally designing and cutting vinyl decals.
