New Bailey Alora: Everything you need to know

New Bailey Alora

The all-new Bailey Alora is a streamlined addition to the Bailey motorhome line up offering the flexibility of a van conversion but with the comfort of a coachbuilt vehicle.

Initially available in a choice of three popular layouts, all Bailey Alora models are just under seven metres in length and have an MPTLM of 3,500kgs making them suitable to be driven by anyone holding a full UK driving licence, without the need for a C1 entitlement.

Packed with intelligent design features, all Bailey Alora models feature a versatile front ʻFlexi-loungeʼ which consists of twin parallel seats which can convert into Aguti travel seats, incorporating ISOFIX, to accommodate two extra passengers if required.

Vehicles also include large fully lined garage storage spaces, complete with practical touches such as 230v and 12v power sockets, a blown air heating outlet and floor mounted lashing rings, which allow you to keep the outdoors separate from the indoors whilst on your travels.

Bailey Alora motorhomes are based upon a ‘Frozen White’ Ford Transit cab and chassis platform and are powered by the latest 2.0 litre 130 bhp engine complete with 6-speed manual gearbox (with an automatic gearbox cost option upgrade also available) to deliver a high-level performance for a compact vehicle.

This fully specified cab includes a host of features to enhance on-the-road comfort with adjustable driver and passenger Captain’s seats with dual arm rests, air conditioning and adaptive cruise control all included standard.

A full in-vehicle infotainment system, featuring a 12” touchscreen HD colour display, incorporating a DAB radio with Apple Carplay /Android Auto, satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity also helps make your journey easier, whilst the factory-fit rear-view camera will allow you to manoeuvre your vehicle with complete confidence.

As with all Bailey leisure vehicles models are built using our patented Alu-Tech construction technology, cloaked in a GRP outer skin, making them more robust, more durable and yet lighter than those manufactured using conventional methods to offer greater protection against the elements to keep you comfortable, safe and secure all year round.

To date approaching 75,000 Bailey leisure vehicles have been built with this ground-breaking technology and are currently being used around the world.

Offering style as well as substance this sleek duotone ‘Glacier White’ and ‘Dove Grey’ body shell is married to the front cab with new streamlined interfaces and a striking monochrome graphic scheme.

Bailey provides unique levels of safety levels in all its motorhomes thanks a crash-testing programme which the company has undertaken to ensure its vehicles can withstand the force of a head-on impact.

As a result, Bailey motorhomes have the extra support of chassis outriggers to strengthen floors, more robust fittings to secure heavy appliances such as ovens and fridges, plus steel-framed seat base supports for all designated travel seats.

With ABS (Anti-lock braking system), ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) as well as driver and passenger airbags also part of the standard specification the Alora can justifiably claim to be one of the safest vehicles available today.

Models are fitted with a fully specified Truma D4E Diesel Combi heating and hot water system which combined with the market- leading thermal characteristics of the Alu-Tech body shell, makes Alora a genuine all-weather vehicle which allows you to holiday no matter the time of year.

Moving inside, a combination of new Bailey ‘Grey Elm’, ‘Satin Cashmere’ and ‘Anthracite’ furniture finishes work in harmony with premium ‘Cosmos’ soft furnishings, ’White Quartz’ worktop surfaces and a ‘Dark Oak’ floor vinyl to create light and airy interiors that are beautifully showcased by the panoramic overcab sunroof.

The sleek Alora bodyshell disguises a spacious interior which includes everything you will need for anything from a weekend break to an extended holiday.

Fully equipped kitchens feature a Thetford ‘K-Series’ combination oven, grill and dual-fuel hob (with three gas burners & one electric hotplate) plus a Thetford 141 litre tower compressor refrigerator, whilst cleverly designed wet rooms, including a space saving tambour partition screen and a sliding vanity unit, contain a Thetford cassette toilet plus a large onboard shower space.

As with all Bailey vehicles Alora models are pre-wired to facilitate the easy installation of then optional Avtex mobile wi-fi system (by your supplying Retailer) to allow you to remain connected to the outside world when on your travels.

The inclusion of up to six 230v sockets and four USB sockets will ensure you always remain powered up, whilst the Status 570 telescopic digital TV aerial and wall mounted TV bracket, located to allow space for an optional 24” screen, provide the basis for your evening’s entertainment.

Bailey of Bristol Managing Director Nick Howard said: “Offering the best of both worlds Alora sits squarely between our existing van conversion and coachbuilt motorhome ranges and caters for the growing demand for more compact narrow-bodied vehicles.

“In terms design this striking new range represents a real step forward both in terms of interior and exterior styling as well as making the optimum practical use of confined space.”
