Caravan and Motorhome Club acquires Saga Caravan Insurance

Caravan & Motorhome Show Belfast 2022

Saga is no longer offering caravan insurance for all policyholders that should renew from 1 June 2024 but wanted to ensure their members would be looked after and asked the Caravan and Motorhome Club to step in.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club has 117 years of experience in supporting and inspiring tourers, and over 50 years of experience with providing caravan cover, so it was an ideal match.

Caravan Cover is provided by the Club directly for the benefit of its members. It has been designed for people’s caravanning lifestyle by a club that truly cares and understands people’s passion to get away and enjoy the great outdoors.

All backed up by an expert team overseeing all aspects of cover.

The Club’s Caravan Cover is unique as it is provided under a discretionary mutual scheme.

The Club is rated 9 out of 10 by Club members for Caravan Cover claims. Saga and the Club are making the process of cancelling Saga insurance policies and replacing them with caravan covers with the Caravan and Motorhome Club as seamless as possible; and as long as cover details remain the same, they will get a comprehensive level of caravan cover at the same price as last year.

Letters will be sent to all current Saga policyholders.

Mark Pearson, Director of Finance, Insurance and Management Services at the Caravan and Motorhome Club said: “The Caravan and Motorhome Club is delighted to offer a safe haven for people with expiring Saga caravan policies.

“It was gratifying that Saga recognised the Club as a like-minded high quality organisation who puts members at the heart of all it does.”
