Bailey Endeavour B62 campervan wins Best Large Campervan award

Bailey Endeavour B62

The Bailey Endeavour B62 campervan has won the Campervan Magazine Best Large Campervan award on its recent debut at the Motorhome and Caravan Show, NEC Birmingham.

The B62 is a two-berth layout featuring a well-equipped central kitchen opposite a cleverly designed washroom – the floor print of which, thanks to a space saving revolving door, can be reduced when it is not in use.

Moving further back in the vehicle there is a customisable rear lounge, offering the choice of parallel seat or u-shaped configurations, that converts into either twin singles or a double bed at night.

Models are built on a 6-metre long 3.5 tonne ‘Chrome Blue’ Ford Transit base vehicle powered by the latest 2.0 litre 155 bhp engine complete with 6-speed automatic gearbox to ensure Endeavour can take you wherever the road may lead.

A fully specified cab includes a host of features to enhance on-the-road comfort with fully adjustable driver and passenger Captain’s seats with dual arm rests, air conditioning and cruise control all included standard.

A full in-vehicle infotainment system, featuring a 12” touchscreen HD colour display, incorporating a DAB radio with Apple Carplay /Android Auto, satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity also helps make your journey easier, whilst the factory-fit rear-view camera plus front and rear parking sensors will allow you to manoeuvre your vehicle with complete confidence.

Endeavour is equipped with all the essentials required for the enjoyment of the great outdoors, most notably a Thule 3.5m wind out awning, whilst a Truma 100-watt flexible solar panel and a premium 92 ampere/hour leisure battery combine to provide the opportunity for genuine ‘off-grid’ holidays. In short, you’ll be totally self-sufficient.

Models are fitted with a Truma D4E Diesel Combi heating and hot water system which will allow you to holiday whenever the mood takes you.

This combined with a fully insulated bodyshell, featuring a 100mm thick bonded floor & 35mm thick bonded ceiling, makes Endeavour a genuine all-weather vehicle, a fact confirmed with the achievement of the highest rating for thermal performance (Grade III Classification of EN1646-I) in rigorous cold chamber testing.

Bailey Endeavour B62 interior

Inside Endeavour really turns on the style with a combination of Bailey ‘Light Oak’, ‘Satin Cashmere’ and Anthracite furniture finishes, working in harmony with premium quality ‘Apollo’ soft furnishings and ‘Hazelnut’ drop in carpets, all beautifully showcased by the panoramic overcab sunroof which floods the living area with natural light, to create the perfect environment to return to after a day of adventures.

The sleek exterior disguises a spacious interior, featuring 1.96 metres of internal headroom, that includes everything you will need for anything from a weekend break to an extended holiday.

Fully equipped kitchens, include a Thetford 90 litre compressor refrigerator, a Thetford Triplex combination oven and grill with three burners, plus a separate circular sink with mixer tap.

Whilst cleverly designed wet rooms, featuring a space saving revolving tambour partition screen, contain a Thetford cassette toilet and an onboard shower.

As with all Bailey vehicles Endeavour models are pre-wired to facilitate the easy installation of the optional Avtex mobile wi-fi system (by your supplying Retailer) to allow you to remain connected to the outside world when on your travels.

The inclusion of four 230v sockets and four USB sockets will ensure you always remain powered up, whilst the Status 570 telescopic digital TV aerial and wall mounted TV bracket, located to allow space for an optional 24” screen, provide the basis for your evening’s entertainment.

Endeavour display models will be arriving at Approved Bailey Retailers early in the New Year and the full range will also be on display at the Camping, Caravan and Motorhome Show, NEC, Birmingham (Stand 3020 Hall 3) from Tuesday 13th – Sunday 18th February.

Bailey of Bristol Managing Director Nick Howard said: “Receipt of this prestigious award for our debut van conversion from such a respected source is confirmation that the Bailey Product Development Team really have got this one right first time.”

“We worked very closely with our Retailer Network to ensure that we developed a vehicle which offered something different in an already very competitive marketplace. This collaborative approach certainly seems to have paid off with the receipt of universal acclaim for the new Endeavour models from public and media alike.

“We are now very much looking forward to commencing production of the first Endeavour models on our newly commissioned manufacturing line early in the New Year.”
