Dave Thomas, managing director at Auto-Trail, will retire at the end of February 2023.
After 30 years in the leisure industry, with 28 of those being at Auto-Trail, Managing Director Dave Thomas has announced his retirement date of 28th February 2023.
Dave joined Auto-Trail, an industry leading leisure vehicle manufacturing company as Design and Technical Director, progressed to Joint Managing Director, and for the past seven years has been sole Managing Director.
He said: “Having been in the industry for 30 years, and with Auto-Trail for 28 of these, I have met some great people and enjoyed my time in this fast-moving industry.
“We have had great support from Trigano in tough times and have always tried to develop the business through being product and customer focussed.”
Dave will be handing over the reins to Shane Devoy, current Finance Director at Auto-Trail.
Shane has been with Auto-Trail for over 24 years and will use his extensive experience to drive the business forward.
Shane will be supported by two new members on the Board of Directors, which will form the basis of a local executive committee.
Scott Stephens will take up the role of Commercial Director and Steve Moverley will take up the role of Technical Director.
Shane said: “It has been a pleasure working with Dave for over twenty years.
“His eye for design detail and business leadership has given us a great product portfolio and a solid foundation that the new management team can continue to build on.
“We will all miss his quick wit and unique ways of finding solutions to the most complex of problems.
“Nevertheless, I feel confident that the revised management structure has the strength and depth to continue to grow our business and meet the challenges that may lie ahead.”
