The Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Expo 2022 has been cancelled, the organisers have announced.
The exhibition, due to take place in September 2022 at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate will now return in 2023 to allow the industry to “focus on pressing priorities during a time of continuing uncertainty”.
The decision to cancel the show, which is organised by the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Caravan Manufacturers’ Association (HERCMA), comes as supply chain problems continue alongside increased demand.
Richard Jones, the chairman of HERCMA, said: “This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but we feel it is right that manufacturers are able to focus fully on these priority issues during as uncertain a time as we have ever experienced.”
“The industry has seen remarkable growth in response to what we believe is a long-term market shift in favour of the great British staycation.
“However, this growth comes with its own challenges in the context of the well-publicised stresses and uncertainties affecting the UK economy.”
“We will consider the position of the Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Expo in 2023 as circumstances develop over coming months.”
