Proposals to develop a campervan park in Beauly, on the route of the North Coast 500, have been lodged.
The new park would be sited on land to the north of Beauly fire station close to Tomich and would provide short stay and overnight space for 21 campervans.
The application has been submitted to Highland Council by Ewen Simpson who says the demand for such facilities is increasing throughout the Highland area but particularly on the route of the NC500.
A pre-application request seeking advice to develop a campervan park including holiday lodges was submitted in 2021.
But the existing proposal involves only campervan stay facilities and has removed the option of holiday lodges after concerns were raised over possible future changes of the lodges to permanent housing which would be against council policy.
The plans also include a single-story reception building located close to the entrance off the A862.
