Woman's body found in campervan on fife carpark

The body of a 56-year-old woman has been found inside a campervan in Fife.

The discovery was made shortly before 2pm on Monday, September 12 when emergency services were called to Coxstool carpark in the village of West Wemyss.

Police are investigating the unexplained death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.50pm on Monday, 12 September, we were called to Coxstool carpark, West Wemyss, after a body was found.

“Officers attended and the body of a 56-year-old woman was found within a camper van.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
