Woman injured after falling from moving campervan

Motorway

A woman has suffered life-changing injuries after falling from a moving campervan on a motorway, the BBC reports.

Hertfordshire Police were called to the A1(M) at about 11:21 BST to reports of an incident on the southbound carriageway.

A woman, aged in her 60s, reportedly fell, for reasons unknown, from a moving Peugeot Boxer campervan, it said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

A section of the carriageway between junction nine (Letchworth Gate) and junction eight (Stevenage North) was shut while emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended.

The closures have since been lifted.

The woman was taken to hospital and her injuries are currently described as life changing, Hertfordshire Police said.
