Two men bailed over stolen motorhome

Two men suspected of stealing a campervan have been released on bail, police have said.

Two suspects were arrested after a motorhome that was stolen in Cheshire on November 17 was recovered by Merseyside Police in Prescot.

On Friday, December 15, officers located the vehicle on the drive of a property in Prescot with false number plates.

They arrested two men, aged 18 and 20, on suspicion of handling stolen goods and possession of a controlled Class B drug, cannabis.

The two suspects have since been released on conditional bail pending further inquiries, a police spokeswoman said after being asked for an update on the investigation.
