Police and fire crews were called to help free a motorhome which became stuck under a bridge in York yesterday (July 4).
The services helped to dislodge the Chausson Skeldergate Bridge on Terry Avenue.
It was stuck for around 45 minutes before being freed.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A York appliance attended a motorhome that had collided with a height restriction barrier under a bridge and became stuck.
“The crew used a triple extension ladder and lines to release the vehicle and gave advice to the owner.”
The bridge is marked with a sign showing its maximum height of 2.6m.
