Motorcyclist reported after ploughing head-on into campervan

A motorcyclist who ploughed head-on into a campervan near Bradford-on-Avon has been reported to court.

It’s believed the motorcyclist crossed the white line before hitting the front of the campervan travelling in the opposite direction.

The rider was admitted into hospital with a serious leg injury following the collision on Sunday 25 September.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance touched down in a nearby field to allow the charity’s critical care medics to treat the male biker alongside local ambulance crews.

Wiltshire Police has since reported the rider to court for driving without due care and attention, for riding without insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.

The bike was reportedly stolen from a commercial unit on Clutton Hill Industrial Estate in Somerset several days before the road traffic collision.
