Man arrested over Gloucestershire motorhome theft

A man has been arrested on the A420 over a motorhome theft as part of a police operation.

Thames Valley Police’s Rural Crime Taskforce arrested the male on suspicion of theft of a motorhome from the Gloucestershire area.

The arrest by police constable Tillyer came as the force carried out a proactive operation on the the A34 and A420 road network to tackle the theft of caravans.

A spokesperson said: “Working with resources from our Roads Policing Unit, Commercial Vehicle Unit and partner agencies has allowed us to check multiple vehicles throughout the shift.

“Working together tackling those that commit crime in our rural communities.”

The Rural Crime Taskforce was created in 2022 to tackle serious and organised rural crime and support rural communities.
