Caravan and Motorhome Club restores website following cyber attack

The Caravan and Motorhome Club has said almost all of the pages on its website and app have now been restored following following a suspected cyber attack.

Club members can now book and amend bookings for UK club campsites and European campsites.

The investigation remains ongoing into whether there was any unauthorized access to systems or data theft.

The club’s problems reportedly began on January 20 when its website and mobile app originally went down “for maintenance” but have since refreshed to communicate that external teams are involved in bringing its systems back to working order.

In a statement, the Caravan and Motorhome Club said: “Thank you again for all your support and patience while we’ve been working hard to restore the website, app and remaining club systems.

“Almost all pages on the website are now live and the app will follow shortly.

“The forensic investigation is ongoing and we will update members with relevant information when it becomes available.

“We extend our sincere thanks to the club’s IT team and our expert partners who have worked day and night to bring the club’s systems back online in a safe and secure manner.

“Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this situation may have caused.”
