Ben Nevis “far too steep”, visitor says in review

A tourist has left on online review slamming Ben Nevis being “far too steep”, the Daily Record reports.

The mountain, which is the highest in the British Isles, is located at the foot of Fort William in the Highlands and has a summit of 4,411 feet above sea level with more than 100,000 visitors every year.

The hugely popular destination for hikers and climbers apparently less than impressed one such visitor.

In a one-star review on travel website TripAdvisor, they complained that the mountain was “too steep” and criticised the lack of shops or toilets en route to the summit.

In a post on June 14, they wrote: “This is far too steep! The paths are uneven and could do with resurfacing and being levelled out.

“There are no toilets or shops on the route to/from the summit so nowhere to get a sandwich or some pop. There was also snow on the summit when we got there and it was very slippery with no signs of any grit bins!”
