Four beach toilet blocks on Anglesey are to get a makeover to benefit campervan and motorhome visitors.
Anglesey Council is set to invest £248,000 in the toilet block upgrades at Benllech Bay, Trearddur Bay, Porth Sutan (Church Bay) and Porthdafarch.
Not all four toilet blocks will have the same facilities.
At two, grey and black waste disposal points are due to be installed.

Other facilities include new outside showers, washroom upgrades and charging points for electric bikes and vehicles.
Cllr Carwyn Jones, Anglesey Council’s deputy leader, said the new facilities will make it easier for motorhome and campervan visitors to dispose of their waste responsibly and ethically.
He said: “The installation of new water disposal bins will have a positive environmental impact across our communities.”

New information boards for visitors will also be added to the toilet blocks.
Digital facilities will also be improved to signpost the island’s attractions.
Gwenllian Owen, the authority’s visitor economy and coastal areas manager, said: “Local amenities available play an important part in the visitor experience.
“This will improve the overall experience visitors have when they visit our stunning beaches.”
The upgrades are to be funded by the Welsh Government’s £2.9m Brilliant Basics fund, set up to encourage small-scale tourism infrastructure improvements.

It’s good to see a council actively trying to encourage campervans. Finally one that recognises the benefits to local economy!
Well done Anglesey, at last someone can see the potential of encouraging motorhomers. It is only the minority that give us a bad name. The majority are respectful of all places and facilities. Thankyou
