The results of the twenty-fifth Caravan and Motorhome Club Motorhome and Campervan Design Awards have been announced today at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show.
Sixty vehicles were submitted for the Motorhome and Campervan Design Awards.
The Competition provides the best quality, and quantity, of information to members and buyers.
The vehicles went through a rigorous desk based evaluation prior to the judges going to the show to view the motorhomes and campervans.
The expert panel collectively spent over one thousand hours going through an immense amount of data from websites, brochures, handbooks and entry forms to complete in-depth evaluations via desktop.
The entries were thoroughly assessed against an extensive criteria including security, electrics, bed sizes, solar panels, kitchen, washrooms, heating, leisure batteries, technical aspects, USB sockets and entertainment.
The vehicles were also evaluated regarding mechanical specifications, ISOfix points, number of seat belts provided, ease of parking assist technology and driver’s aids.
Nick Lomas, Director General of the Caravan and Motorhome Club said: “Huge congratulations to all the winner and our sincere thanks to our industry colleagues for their continued support of these awards which provide an invaluable source of information and inspiration for people looking to either start this leisure pursuit or change their vehicle.”
David Turner, Chairman of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, who presented the awards to the winners said: “It was great to see such a quality range of vehicles entered into the Motorhome and Campervan Design Awards, I’d
also like to thank our judging panel for their hard work and dedication assessing the competition entries.”
