The driver of a stolen campervan led police on a chase in North Staffordshire before abandoning the vehicle to run away.
The vehicle was stolen from the Moorlands area yesterday evening (January 2).
Officers say they pursued the campervan until the offenders ‘blocked the road’ and fled the scene in a second vehicle.
The campervan is now undergoing forensic testing in a bid to catch those responsible before being reunited with its owner.
In a Tweet on X, Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit said: “Within 10 minutes of this camper being stolen in the Moorlands area the team were behind it.
“We pursued it before the offenders blocked the road and made off in a second vehicle.
“Recovered for forensics and one happy owner. RPU taking the fight to the criminals.”
