Thieves have managed to avoid police after being caught on CCTV trying to steal two high-end motorhome from a ‘secure’ storage facility in County Durham.
It happened at the Kinnersley Camper Van Storage in Hartlepool at 1am on April 24.
The suspects reportedly broke into the lock-up and were caught on CCTV taking two of the vans from the site.
Officers rushed to the scene and managed to find both of the vans in less than 15 minutes, but their suspects were nowhere to be seen.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Officers with police dogs conducted an area search for the suspects, but unfortunately did not manage to find them.”
Detectives are now investigating and have urged anyone with information to call 101.
