A stolen motorhome has been recovered following a hot pursuit in Essex.
The motorhome was stolen off a driveway on Canvey Island at roughly 10.15pm on Wednesday night.
Shortly after, police spotted the motorhome being driven towards Basildon on the A13.
After a short chase, officers were able to stop the vehicle and confirm it was stolen by 10.45pm.
Supt Phil Stinger, of the operational policing command, insisted the force will always do everything it can to reunite owners with their stolen vehicles.
He said: “In Essex, we know how much people value their vehicles and we are always determined to reunite stolen vehicles with their owners.
“Indeed, we also aim to do that as quickly as possible.
“We will always use all information available to us to locate stolen goods and reunite them with their owners.”
A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, fraud associated with vehicle or driver records and theft from a vehicle.
He has been released on conditional bail until November whilst other enquiries continue.
Anyone with information is asked to call Essex Police on 101 to make a report.
