Police recover stolen caravan stolen within 24 hours

A caravan stolen from the New Forest has been found in less than 24 hours by police.

Officers received a report on Tuesday evening that a compound in Crabbswood Lane, Sway, had been entered and a caravan stolen.

Working with colleagues in Eastleigh, officers found both the stolen caravan and the car used to commit the crime in less than 24 hours.

A post online added: “The investigation is still ongoing and hopefully our scenes of crimes department can assist us to identify those involved.”

Officers urged the public to continue to report suspicious activity in rural areas and added: “Your information may assist in solving a crime like this.”
