Campervan converter, Knights Custom Conversions has unveiled its first Ford Transit Custom campervan.
The new Custom Tourer is closely related to the company’s existing Prestige Tourer conversion, which is based on the VW Transporter T6.1.
Inside it has a Sterling single induction hob, rather than a gas cooker. It also comes with a 42-litre Vitrifrigo compressor fridge and an optional Webasto Air Top 2000 STC diesel-fired heating, as well as a 1,600W inverter.
The conversion (excluding the Ford base vehicle) is priced from £22,990, plus £5,650 for the Reimo pop-top.
It includes a Reimo Variotech 3000 sliding seat system with Isofix, blackout blinds, swivels on both cab seats, and lightweight high-pressure laminate furniture with solid wood worktops.
Showcased at the Motorhome & Campervan Show Season Finale in Lincolnshire last weekend, the show model included a number of options, including Nappa leather, 20in Wolfrace alloy wheels, 50mm lowered suspension with Eibach coilovers and an Xtreme Custom bodykit.
Total cost of the conversion shown was £43,640, plus £34,995 for the 168bhp automatic Transit Custom Limited van – it brings the total cost to £78,635.
