Crews tackle motorhome blaze on Bodmin Moor

A motorhome blaze has been tackled by firefighters in Cornwall.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire crews to the Bolventor area of the A30, near the Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor, at 02:06 BST on Monday 13 May.

On arrival, the 25ft (8m) motorhome “well alight”, the service said.

A water carrier was sent due to the remote location, it added.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Two appliances from Launceston and Bodmin and a water carrier from Wadebridge attended a call to a large camper van circa 25ft long on fire.”

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters put the blaze out, they added.
