The Caravan and Motorhome Club has issued an apology following widespread disruption to its new online booking system.
In a statement, the club said: “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience being caused with the implementation of our new booking system.
“Members and guests are able to make bookings through the new system, however this is not the complete user experience we have designed.
“Please be assured our IT and technical tams are working hard to resolve all of the issued as soon as possible.”
The apology follows a wave of criticism, with dismayed members venting their frustrations on social media.
One user said: “It’s their new all singing all dancing booking system which apparently doesn’t sing or dance.
“My wife has been in the queue for almost three hours and, when she got in, it has just stopped responding.”
Others have been more patient: “The website does say that they are experiencing a few technical issues with the new system.
“Suggest giving them a day or so, be patient and they will sort it out.
“Don’t know of many companies that alter their software etc and don’t experience a few issues.”
